ACN Review: Scam Or Not?
If you have found this article, I’m assuming that you are looking for answers after seeing the ACN business overview at a friend’s place or a hotel meeting. You heard them talk up their video phone and tell you how much money is going to be made with it, and that a simple investment of $499 can get you in on the action. Well, chances are that a majority of what they talked about went over your head. So to help you further understand the business I’d like to briefly review their products and their compensation plan and give you an unbiased opinion of ACN.
Let’s start with the basics. ACN is a telecommunications company that started 15 years ago in Detroit. They offer a number of products that include home phone service, cell phone service, satellite tv, digital phone service, and the mother of all their products: the VIDEO PHONE.
Representatives earn money in three different ways: personal residual income, overriding residual income, and bonuses. Personal residual income is earned when representatives receive a percentage of their customer’s billing. But they must be customers that were personally referred by the representative. ACN says that you can earn “up to 10%”of the total customer base, but they neglect to inform you that you only earn that amount if your customer’s are spending a minimum of $10,000. Essentially, the personal residual income typically amounts to less than $50 a month so it is hardly worth mentioning.
