Reverse Cell Phone Lookup - Is it Really Possible?
It happens to most of us at some time or another. You miss a call on your phone from a cell phone number you don’t recognize.
You are curious however about who was calling you and would really like to know who it is. The only way you can think of finding out who called, is by calling the number yourself - something you’d rather not do in case it’s someone you don’t want to speak to. There is another option though - a reverse cell phone lookup.
A reverse cell phone lookup is very easy to undertake, & will only take a few minutes. All you need to do is visit a reverse cell phone directory, and enter the full cell phone number that you’re searching for. The directory then does the rest, searching through it’s database until it finds the number you need. Once it’s found the number it will tell you the name, address, possible neighbours, criminal records & more.
It can be a difficult job though to find a reputable reverse cell phone lookup service that can actually deliver on what they promise. Quite a few directories even claim to be able to provide you with a totally free reverse cell phone search.
Unlike with landline numbers, an accurate, free reverse cell number search can’t actually be done. The sites advertising as free are either fakes that let you search for free, but then make you pay to see the information, or sites that “decode” cell numbers to help work out the location and carrier (not the accurate information you want).
Information for landline phone numbers is in the public domain so is much easier for almost anyone to access & start a free reverse phone lookup site. Cell phone numbers aren’t though, so all this information needs to be collected manually.
It costs these reverse cell phone lookup companies a considerable amount of money and time to organize all the information into a searchable database. This is why the reverse cell phone directories that provide accurate results will charge a small fee to cover their costs of providing the service.
Even amongst the paid reverse cell phone lookup services though, there is a wide variation in the quality of what they have to offer. Some companies have far superior and larger databases of cell numbers than others, while a few (not very reputable ones) will still try and make you pay for a search, even if they don’t have the cell number you want!
Luckily though, there’s only a small handful that try to get away with this. There are many excellent reverse cell phone lookup services that can provide you with all the accurate information you need on a number. You just need to know where to look to make sure you don’t get scammed.
