Genital Herpes is something you may not discuss with your friends, however, it is a viral infection that is spreading very fast, with about one million new cases per year.

Being diagnosed with Genital Herpes can be a real shock for many. Emotions of feeling unclean, shame, and less worthy are common.

In the United States about 20% of the adult population are infected with genital herpes. Somewhere around 50 million Americans. Breaking the statistics down, the rate for women is about one in four, and for men it is one in five.

Genital herpes is more prevalent than all other viral sexually transmitted diseases put together. Since a very low number, around 20 percent, know that they are infected it means that many millions are inadvertently infecting their partners with herpes.

While the disease is more contagious during an outbreak, the virus can be spread when there are no symptoms present at all.

After the initial episode, those infected with HSV-2 have an 80% rate of reoccurrence. Infections caused by HSV-1 have a lot lower risk of reoccurrence -about 50% will have a reoccurrence with 4-5 outbreaks per year being the average number.

While getting the diagnosis of genital herpes can be distressing, it is important to get a proper diagnosis which involve the proper blood tests by a medical practitioner.

It was enlarged and reshaped into its current three sided area by the latter half of the 12 century and rapidly became a meeting place of the rich, poor, grand as well as humble. The all important offices of the Republic were located here and it was also where all the major festivals were held.

Doge’s Palace is one of the more delightful sights to be seen. The palace, called the Palazzo Ducale di Venzia, was the palace of the Doge of Venice, as the name suggests. The Doge was the leader of the government. The palace was constructed in the 14th century and it incorporated many innovative features. Some of these include a series of arches on the bottom story, along with heavier sections above it. It’s now a museum where there are paintings by Titian, Tintoretto, Veronese and other famous artists of that time.
