I can count the times I joined my dad on a fishing expedition on one hand, actually on three fingers. But those three fishing adventures were unforgettable indeed! I was an inquisitive seven-year-old and was ecstatic about going fishing with my father.

Each time I tossed out the line, I caught something — and my lines never even hit the water. On my first attempt, I hooked my father’s favorite outdoor cap, pulling it unceremoniously off his head. I remember his initial irritation turning to laughter as he helped me reel his hat in. I also remember how the wet hat looked on his head. He refused to fish without it.

On our second fishing trip, I hooked the back of my jacket — twice! I did succeed in capturing several fish. It wasn’t many. I recall they were little, and I learned how to talk fisherman’s talk. I discovered what is meant by ‘catch and release.’ If the fish are too puny, you toss them back!

I’d catch a tiny cat fish or snag a turtle and look at my father and ask, ‘Release?’ And he’d nod his decision. When it came to fishing, I was not giving Dad much to celebrate.

On my third and last fishing expedition with Dad, I snagged his left ear lobe. I didn’t mean to do it! But I hooked it good! I didn’t have to ask about ‘catch and release’ that time. I remember thinking, “Holy mackerel, is he going to throw me overboard?”

If happiness is something that is supposed to be created from within a person, why then is it so difficult to be happy with ourselves? Often, the troubles with self happiness are the lower levels of self esteem that are housed within the mind. Our self concept is tainted and distorted to the point that we consistently assess ourselves and find faults in everything we do. Over a length of time, that tainted image becomes a reality to us.

There are other times in our lives when a fear of the unknown can take hold of us and push us into the realm of self doubt. The fear of failing, not becoming what we once dreamed we would and not attaining success all wreak havoc on the minds eye. When reading this sort of thought, it may sound preposterous, but it is a very real situation for many women.

Self-doubt and a fear to take risks may be all that stand between you and a happy, fulfilling life. Examine your thoughts and beliefs to find out what steps you need to take towards becoming a better you. There are several factors that comprise our entire self image and self esteem. By being honest with yourself about how you feel about yourself, you can acknowledge and confront the issues that must be addressed in order to promote a healthy self image.

What Do Aura Colours Mean?

June 8th, 2008 by Rosalind Traycek

by Rosalind Traycek

If you are going to get a colour analysis, you should always seek out a trained and experienced aura imaging therapist. The colours in your aura provide you with an alternative for understanding your emotions energy processes, consciousness, and your inner self. Your colour analysis may point to potential medical problems, if this is the case you should seek trained medical help.

When you’re analysing your aura colour image, you should study these eight parts of the body;

1) The centre is the area around the head and is what you experience for yourself now, it is the color that best describes you.

2) Right Side. The right side of an aura photo is the left side of the person. This is the energy is being expressed, in a word to the energy that you are radiating into the world.

3)The left side, the color on the left side of an aura photo is the energy coming into your body.

4) The Throat Area. The throat represents energy that is being expressed verbally, if an aura image shows that the energy is flowing well in this area, you can assume that this person finds it easy to express their thoughts and feelings.

5) Heart. The aura colour around the heart represents the energies of the persons feelings both to themselves and to others, this is the centre of love and compassion, and of their universal connection.

It is quite possible that you have had several astral projection in your lifetime, however you would only remember them as dreams. It is not only possible but highly likely that some of your more realistic dreams actually you taking an astral journey, or having an out of body experience.

The most effective way to learn how to astral project at will, is to keep a dream journal. In order to understand our dreams we must first remember them, and the most effective way to do this is to keep a dream diary.

To begin you should buy a notebook or pad there’ll be used solely for keeping your dreams recorded in, this should be kept with a pen by your bed at all times. By keeping it close at hand you can write down the recollections of your dreams even if you wake up in the middle of the night.

When you first wake up in the morning, you should close your eyes for a few seconds and try to remember some of your dreams. Dreams are just a series of different images, and by remembering just one or two you could trigger the entire sequence. If you find it difficult to remember a single image, try to remember your feelings during the dream. Were you happy, sad, angry, etc.

Hear No Evil, See No Evil, Speak No Evil

We all have the same life purpose: We are here to fully demonstrate the Christ within.

We have all got the same decision to make: We can choose to accept our Divinity and follow the guidance that comes from our Christ Consciousness — or not.

There is only a single story in the Bible: That story is about our using more won’t power than will power when it comes to “expressing our divinity.”

The following story is an example of that on-and-off-again relationship. The story comes from the 8th Chapter of John’s Gospel, verses 2-11:

2. Early in the morning He came again to the temple: (When we’re centered in Spirit, we begin each day connected to our Christ Nature. Jesus stands for that aspect in us that realizes our Christ potential and is our unfolding pattern of perfection.) All the people came to him and he sat down and began to teach them: (As we intentionally “practice the Presence,” the more Divine wisdom we will receive.)

3. The scribes and the Pharisees brought a woman who had been caught in adultery and made her stand before all of them: (Our critical nature. which often is really hypocrisy, is represented by the Pharisees. This attitude tries to keep us stuck in the letter of the law so we stay in the tight box of dogma and doctrine. The personality tries to discredit our receptivity to Truth principles, represented by the woman, by signaling out our failures.)
